Challenges
Hindustan Construction Company’s undertaken project to build up a Sea Link between Bandra and Worli. The construction work had to be remotely  monitored from the Company Head Office. The installation had to be done on a crane 800 square feet above sea level.
Solution
• Livedarshan’s Wireless Video Surveillance Software
• 5km Wireless link was setup from the top of the crane to the shore. Wireless Cameras with 30X Zoom,360 degree PAN,90 degree tilts were mounted on top of the crane so that the work on the entire bridge could be monitored from the base on the Bandra Shore. Further the video was routed to the headquarters in Vikhroli so that the project could be viewed from HCC’s head office.
Advantages
Via the wireless network, the construction in the sea can be viewed live and the cameras can be controlled (pan/tilt/zoom) from the company’s head office. Saving Time & Energy of traveling to the construction site in the sea. The system led to easy co-ordination between engineers and provided 24 x 7 monitoring and recording of activities on site. The repeated inconvenient trips to the site in middle of the sea became less by 50%.
